  1. What I don't understand is why perfect pitch is only attainable during young childhood. Yes brain plasticity decreases during adulthood, but synapse formation does not cease. If perfect pitch is simply a matter of forming pathways of familiarity, you seem to be implying that it is utterly impossible to form those pathways past a certain age. Is there scientific research that proves that? What is unique about music that makes it impossible to form those pathways? It seems to me that the inevitable conclusion of your thesis must be that adults are incapable of even HEARING tone in the same way as children. That's interesting because I see hear that you have videos on how to develop a good ear for music.
