  3. It's hard to have sympathy for anyone so recklessly participating in such a dangerous activity, especially with such lax safety measures. But my empathy for the situation still makes me cringe at the thought.

  4.  @EstamosDe  When you wilfully walk into situations that may cost your life, and that of others, that is when my willingness to consider your learning curve and mistakes ends. Entering caves is moronic in the first place, but if you all wilfully ignore the safety protocols, then you should be left to the consequences without others risking their lives to rescue you. I was empathetic of how it would feel to die alone in a dark cave, not of the stupidity that lead to it.
