I've NEVER thought that defendants should be expected to treat the judge with respect, and I think that a million times more now that SCOTUS is utterly corrupt and Trump is openly bribing his way to freedom. Put defendants in a sound- proof box with mirror glass so they can't see the jurors and let them have at it. It's appalling that defendants, especially the innocent ones, are supposed to have superhuman control of their emotions even as they are being mistreated and their lives ruined.
