  9. None of those are signs of intelligence, only natural selection at play. Arguably, the first one is not a factor because other animals eat cute things all the time: baby rabbits, baby deer, etc. And the second one is CLEARLY not an evolutionary factor because they have existed for 50 million years and Australia has been inhabited by pet owning humans 60,000 years max.

I simply get sick of the inane drivel of stupid people, and I enjoy following intellectually fulfulling pursuits that many of them would dismiss. My two best friends are people that I could have a conversation with about physics, cosmology, psychology or just about anything.

  18. Some good observations, but not all. MMA fighters still operate within a strict rule set, and they may be as useless against a knfife or baseball bat, as someone who practices capoiera. Similarly, whilst the inability to practice harmful techniques against genuinely non-compliant opponents may reduce their practiced effectiveness, police, marines, and many other professions utilise these techniques in life and death situations without the advantage of having practiced at lethal levels previously.

  24. I go to bed on average between 3 and 6am. I start almost every day happy, and I'm relaxed all day. I like to spend the first couple of hours each day chilling, but then I always find more things to do as night draws on. I get sick to death of idiots thinking I'm lazy because my daily 15 hours of sleep happens at a different time of day to theirs.

  27. We need to stop trusting that cosmologists and astronomers know everything, or even almost everything. I would surmise that on a universal scale, they are wrong far more than they are right.
