  3. callum traynor The flat assertion that "immigrants are not net contributors" is a statement not an argument, and without argument, there's no reason to take you seriously. There have been studies done in America that show that illegal immigrants contribute almost 100% of their income to the economy with none of the benefits. In Britain, we are primarily talking I assume of LEGAL immigrants as it's so much harder to get here illegally. So we are talking about low paid workers who contribute to both the economy AND the tax system. That means that they are contributors as much as any British person. And yes, if you go to America, Canada or Australia you DO have to pay for HIV treatment. I already said that being a health migrant is unacceptable. However, if you go to any other country in the EU, you do NOT pay for any treatment that you would receive free in Britain.

  4. callum traynor Sorry, don't understand what you're trying to say. If you need treatment for AIDS, you don't pay 130k a year for the meds. If you need an operation, you don't pay at all. Nor if you are on low income do you pay anything.

  5. Vitalis of Assisi You'll get no  argument from me. But it wouldn't be economic migrants I would control - it would be access to NHS and welfare benefits. If people want to come here to work and integrate then they are perfectly welcome.
