  1. There is a suggestion on the Independent web site that this may have been an initiation. If so, the man needs to face some serious repercussions, and I don't care if Thais DO spend their time exploring the caves. A mile down wearing the gear they are wearing was a ludicrous risk to take. I'd think twice taking a group of boys that size for a walk in the forest on my own let alone somewhere so dangerous.

  2. What's it like to live without a heart or any sense of human empathy Robert? Yes, to any sane person it was a ridiculous chance to take. Does that mean you cannot feel compassion for the lives of 12 children, or do only children who never make any mistakes receive your empathy?

  3. I assume that there is an element of danger each time the divers swim to the cave. I wonder if there is any chance of the cave flooding to the top? I can't imagine how terrifying it would be to be dragged on a stretcher for over 4 hours to get out with no possible control over your own fate. It's such a long distance. I imagine some of the boys will need to be sedated. And I don't suppose you can safely rig a pulley over such a distance. I just hope they get those poor lads out sooner rather than later.

  4. I don't know. I 'm not a diver. I would imagine a 14 year old having a panic attack 2 hours along a flooded tunnel was more dangerous. Is it impossible to secure a mask to a sedated person? What if they were unconscious?

  5. I'd just like to point out that all of the boys WERE indeed sedated for EXACTLY the reasons I pointed out. To quote: "the boys were sedated, some were asleep because the divers were afraid of the boys panicking". They were encased in plastic stretchers completely unable to move. You were wrong on literally every argument you made against the process. So yeah, it seems that you aren't as smart as you thought.   6. Thanks for the info. That seems like a ridiculous depth to just casually wander. If the the entrance is so difficult to traverse, it seems like a really dangerous place to take the boys under any circumstances.

  7. That sounds like a ridiculous amount of rock to drill away. I wonder if that's actually feasible, and if so, how long it would take.
