  1. The media have blood on their hands. They KNOW that running stories like this, with photographs of the murderer increase the likelihood of copycat killings yet they continue to do so. They could report the case without using the name or face of the killer if reporting was their concrern.

  3. It's not a silly notion, it's a fact. Studies have shown time and again that showing the face and naming rampage killers produces more such killings. Not for a long time has it been so evident than in this case. You have NO RIGHT, nor ANY NEED to know the identity of a killer. All you need to know is that justice was served against him. Show me ANY time when knowing his identity or the way that he was raised has changed ANYTHING about government or police policy, or the way that YOU life you life or interact with others. Clearly, if the killer is still on the loose, it's different.

  4. Yes, I've noticed that the US press almost cover this kind of event like torture porn. It's pretty distasteful. And yet still everyone is armed.

  5. No, because many of them want to be immortalised. One "the killer" is the same as all the others.
