  1. Ad Hitlereum arguments are not lazy - it's the only surefire way of finding a common frame of reference. If i equate an action to that of Stalin or Mao or Amin or Pol Pot or Hussein, their actual policies are rarely well known. The fact that I may not wish to divert a conversation down long lines of specifics, buit rather take an iconic example is not lazy - it's expedient.
