  1. This story gets more and more embellished every time I hear it. The idea that hundreds of people across the south of England all collaborated to check the tracks, compare stories and feed them into the central news repository of the day, and all without adding their own elaborations is too preposterous to be credible. A couple of storks walked over a few fields, and it got blown up into this.
