If you care more about personalities and being nice to the people you like, than the entire future of democracy and the planet, then yeah. To anyone who put the nation first, Biden was clearly desperately unfit for the job, and the people around him had been shamelessly covering for him. The world deserved better than a doddering grandad with Alzheimers.

If Biden was not so egotistical and selfish, he'd never have been been in that position. The presidency ages young men and old alike by 20 years, and Biden was geriatric at the start of his term. I don't detract from his past achievements (and the way he betrayed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians), but he was CLEARLY unfit for the job. Can you imagine that doddering debate Biden during an international crisis where decisions must be made quickly? Can you imagine that tottering man hastening to a helicopter to escape a situation? That out of touch fool saying "If I lose against Trump, at least I'll have done my best" as though a participation trophy is enough in the fight against fascism and massive judicial corruption. Standing down was one of the smartest things he ever did, and I'll give him extra credit for the timing. It was also the only way to preserve his legacy.
