It's absolutely moronically irresponsible, that something as sensitive as the speed that you withdraw a control rod, should be down to some bloke simply yanking it out! Why the hell was this not on some kind of rack and pinion or cog mechanism where the rate could be precisely controlled? Criminal negligence by the owners/designers.
