The guy should be pissed off at himself for being so worthless. His attitude made it clear exactly WHY he doesn't have a better paying job. The customer is not obligated to get into a discussion about economics and value, and with a douche like that, the guy was likely to feel patronised and get even more in the customer's face. The really shit thing about this, is the customer will never order from there again knowing that he works there. Who needs some entitled asshat smearing crap in your food? So now all three people lose out in the transaction.
