I don't mean he's lying, he's playing a character "The know-better-than-you douche". He thinks he's speaking like David Attenborough, but instead he sounds like a petulant whiny 9 year old playing "I'm not YOU are!" On the few occasions in this video where he talks like a normal human being (describing the way that telescopes work at 20:00 for instance), he uses a normal talking voice and he's perfectly likable. Then, when he's describing the failings of the EVSCope (31:44) , he drops back into this exaggerated, totally fake, horrifically smarmy character, and I almost feel physically nauseous. It's sickening that such a valuable scientific and educational resource is produced by such an unpleasant human being.
