  1. In the words of the song, "But what have you done for me lately?" The US has ridden its WW2 good will into the ground as it rapidly becomes exactly the fascist state that you claim it saved us from. Do we continue to thank the Visigoths for saving us from the Romans? No, because you get judged by your current behaviour, not what you did waaaay in the past. And right now, the US is looking like one of the greatest threats to global freedom and stability.

  2. The difficulty in his case, is that the proper channels were part of the system covering up the wrongdoing, and he TRIED to go through them, and was blocked. I think Assange very correctly characterises the situation here when he talks about America's desire for ruthless power being greater than it's desire to be seen as righteous.

  3. A journalist "source" cannot be challenged? Not even if they sign an official secrets act or a privacy agreement? So all anyone has to do to break the trust and necessary secrecy of a government or private organisation is to become a "journalistic source"?
