  1. If he said the sky was polka dot and I saw that it was blue, his degree or newfound reputation would count for nothing. This man has been invited to speak all over the country and he makes pronouncements way out of his lane on all sorts of topics. He's not the messiah, he's just a man who took a stand on a single issue that gibed with the current gestalt.

  2. So sick and tired of hearing Peterson speak with absolute certainty about issues he knows little about. All of a sudden this damned dullard is everywhere like the new messiah, proclaiming on just about every issue.

  3. "science being rewritten isn't exclusive to psychology" absolutely agree, which is why I get so pissed off at Peterson being invited left, right and centre to speak on all manner of issues. Remember when Bill Nye was invited to do that, then he hosted that trans video and it brought a crashing end to his public popularity. We have to stop putting these people on pedestals as though their expertise in one area gives them qualifications to speak professionally in all others.

  5. Peterson can be very insightful, but I detest his views on living a non-conformist life. He seems to be filled with contempt for people who don't marry and have kids.

  6. Politics is primarily awash with people corrupted by power, distracted only by their own vision of personal aggrandisement, and too out of touch with the common people to give a damn about them. I''d sooner an idealistic ill informed 18 year old than the 60 and 70 year old scum that continue to lead the planet to its ruination.

  7. Of all the disciplines to be an expert in, psychology is one of the most nebulous. Freud was lauded as one of the most proficient in the field, then he went completely out of fashion and he was considered to be a borderline sex freak, and now people are starting to recognise some of his ideas as reasonable again. Psychology is like nutrition - it goes through trends, and things are stated with near certainty one day only for them to say the opposite five years later.
