  1. It's not right that these pair were treated like evil super stars, and even now the last photo we get to see is of them not their victims. The press knows that giving this kind of attention increases the likelihood of similar events yet still they persist. Let's give a few moments of thought to the those innocent victims in their final, frightened moments.

  6. Sounds more like they're treading the difficult line between preparing people and causing an unnecessary panic. They have always had to walk a political line and assholes like Scump, the Iranian health minister and the Chinese leadership in play, their job is not made easier.

  10.  @ArjunGupta-tz5xo  The gold standard was ridiculous. Tying to currency to a very finite resource gives all the value to the person holding the resource. Gold is expensive now, even when the whole planet doesn't depend upon it. It would be a million times more expensive if the pound was tied to it. That's why owning bullion is illegal.
