  1. Britain has always had shitty laws, limited freedom of speech, oppressive family courts, poor privacy protection, puritanical laws towards sex and pornography, and worse. Frankly, I can only see our exit from Europe turning us into a mix between quakers and authoritarians. I was in favour of our autonomy from EU immigration law, but our legal unaccountability was definitely one of my major concerns.
