When I hear the term "intersectional", what I hear is someone whining "How can I maximise my sense of oppression." There are certainly plenty of genuinely oppressed or disadvantage people out there, anyone using this term about themselves is rarely one of them.

How do you get from "I disagree with the way intersectional is used as a blanket excuse" to, "You agree with rape"? I suggest you go look up the term "non-sequitur".

I completely understand the issues. We're ALL intersectional. We all have problems that compound our challenges. I'm a mixed race child of a single mother raised in an era of overt racism. I'm a male in an age where the courts and society almost always side against males, I have lifelong health problems and other issues. I don't pull out a check sheet and start ticking off all of my disadvantages on a sheet in order to gain sympathy; I get on and do the best that I can with the lot I have in life. When women and black people stop whining about all of their disadvantages (some of which definitely DO exist) and start working to better themselves, they'll make inroads into their own life improvement. I think that playing oppression bingo simply makes people look pathetic and ridiculous in the eyes of everyone reasonable, and the end result is a scumbag president like Donald Trump. Had Hillary and the Dems not played the woman card, she might have gained a few percentage points. Had the trans activists not been so aggressive in their demands for proper pronoun use, bathrooms and the right to compete in sports of their chosen gender, there would not be such a growing rise on the right. The more extreme people's behaviour on the left, the greater the counter movement. People need to be careful which battles they fight if they want to win the war of improving society.
