  1. Concerned by this luddite knee jerk fear, but I can also see the dangers, much like letting an autonomous self learning AI loose on the internet. My greatest ethical concern is that these kids cannot consent to having their genes permanently altered.

  3.  @ba94845  No, parents should not be able to make life-changing decisions for their kids that are not demonstrably for the child's wellbeing - no tattoos, not circumcision or FGM, and no unproven genetic experimentation.

  4.  @nutsndoltz  Irrelevant. Non children cannot have rights, but the second they ARE born, they should have the full rights of an adult. Parents shoould be viewed as stewards not owners.
