  2. "Climate control is a unproven science." It's about as well proven as any science we depend upon, and can be demonstrated in a lab. Predictions about global temperature trends have been made and validated, and the weather consequences as a result. Living here in Britain, we are about to hit the highest temperatures ever recorded. Any given week of weather could simply be an anomaly, but the underlying changes to the jet stream are the result of global changes. You only have compare LA 20 years ago with any city that has less cars to see the harms of pollution. You can see the plume of smog. Even if that was the only effect of all those cars, it would be reason enough to want to discourage polluting vehicles surely? I don't follow your logic that reducing traffic lanes with INCREASE pollution. Surely less traffic capacity means less pollution capacity?
