Eminent Domain is a profoundly authoritarian action at its best, but I can understand that in extremem circumstances it may have to be used FOR THE GREATER GOOD, but using it for the profit of corporations is the personification of corrupt government and the influence of money in politics. Here in the UK, we have a similar thing known as Compulsory Purchase Orders, and in my town it was used to rob hundreds of people of their homes, and then the land was never used for anything.
