  1. Can't stand her but I can understand why she might want her own laptop back. But clearly if the police think it might hold emails that would incriminate someone else they have a right to keep it. What I don't understand is why they don't simply image the hard drives (a day tops) and return the damned laptop? They really have NO reason to hang onto her gear beyond a few days unless they think she will use its contents for ongoing criminal activity.
