The girls worsened this exchange at every possible stage. Including peanuts in a drink without them was a potential death sentence to this guy's son, and their cocky, provocative, don't give a shit attitude was absolutely appalling. I hope they were all immediately fired.

@zzzubmno2755 "that doesnt excuse what the man did either." To some extent. They just endangered his son's life and now they are just brushing him off and being rude. I think if they WANTED to enrage a customer, they could hardly have calculated a more effective way of doing so. Complaining about peanuts is not a trivial matter.

@gregnz1 And killing his son is wilful negligence. People need to get a sense of a sense of proportion. The only thing he assaulted was the counter.

@susan ruthroff He specifically specified NO nuts. The racial slurs ultramild though they were, were uncalled for but frankly the attitude of those staff was enough to make him WANT to be hurtful. It's nothing to do with white being right. They behaved APPALLINGLY and it brought out the worst in him.

@gregnz1 I daresay you're right about the charges. If I was their employer, they'd already be out of work for provoking him. They took a slightly awkward situation and escalated it as far as they possibly could. That stupid trappy girl at the back just would NOT shut up.
