TBH, I find this disturbing. The last thing you need is generals acting independently of the chain of command. We can all be grateful that Russian sub captain disobeyed, but what if it HAD been a nuclear war and that was his one opportunity? This is exactly why military whistleblowing can never be legalised or rewarded. It's not for generals or whomever, to start making decisions way over their pay grade. However, in this situation, with a lunatic president, I'm grateful for the man's fortitude. It's not as black and white as Carollo makes it seem.
