  1. Omicron does NOT have the ability to "wipe out the world!" Yes, it's much more contagious, but its effects are MUCH milder, and it could actually be strengthening our immune response and hastening herd immunity. We should still treat it as a threat so that hospitals do not become overloaded, but it's not going to "wipe out the world" FFS! This sort of disinformation is exactly what undermines trust in so-called "professional" commentators.
