I don't understand why this is such a radical idea. Nobody looks at black basketball or football players and has a problem accepting that genetics throws up a higher than average number of superb black athletes. Nobody looks at Kenyan distance runners, or shorter Asians, and denies the significance of racial (or regional) genetics, but when it comes to intelligence, everyone loses their minds. Intelligence MAY be a product of environment, diet, and other externalities, but when those externalities have had an influence for hundreds of generations, they leave a long-term genetic imprint. The problem is not Murray's conclusion, but his suggestions (and those of other people) about what should be done as a consequence.

@gottagowork The problem is, science is just as susceptible to corruption by SJW ideals. I'm reminded of the nobel prize winner who was forced out of his job for saying he didn't accept female assistants because they cry more. It was a joke, but it was also demonstrably and factually true. Or that guy who landed a probe ON AN ASTEROID, and all the f***ing SJW mob could think about was his silly shirt. Any scientist finding a correlation between race and IQ would be immediately portrayed as a racist or bigot long before anyone bothered to look at his work. Society has already drawn its own conclusions, and only science that reaches the same conclusions is acceptable.

@kickazz999 Explain please.

@jc3drums916 It's completely irrelevant how or why externalities produced a genetic change in entire population demographics. The fact that that genetic effect exists is all that matters. I could point to a lightening of caucasian skin as people migrated north, or a shortening of stature in protein-poor environments. You can see these changes for yourself, and read in reputable books about their causes. You can't imply that such changes are BS only when they imply changes that you don't like. Evolution is not concerned with political correctness.

@jamesrose6751 Great advice. Shame you didn't follow it.

I think so long as everybody generally understands what is meant by the word, it has utility. Perhaps the problem is, that any definition becomes fuzzy around the edges. Is Asian a race? African? White?
