  1. As I understand it McCandless was a mentally unhinged guy who thought he could just go live native with no experience. The movie of the same name was broadly panned for glorifying his stupdity.

  2.  @phyllisdevries5734  I agree 100%. I mean, I'm geninely saddened that it cost this dreamer his life. He just wanted to go live in nature but without the preparation what did he think would happen? And now his death site has become a pilgrimage for other stupid people? What a sad legacy. SMH.
