  1. 20-30 years ago? She was still trying to arrange plantation style weddings this year! She's undoubtedly still a racist. But for me, the big issue is, is she a malicious racist? I think not. I don't know that she thinks of black people as inferiors, just different.

  3. I think the whole thing was exaggerated. Yes, she is ignorant and racially insensitive. That's not a crime that merits the destruction of a lifetime of work. Let the courts handle the way she manages her employees. That said, I am deeply concerned about this audience's reaction, and I DO think it's a tacit approval of racism. In Texas. Who would have guessed it?
