  2. The fact that this system DID NOT catch the Boston bombers actually lends credibility to their claims that they are NOT monitoring individual calls. The bombers may have formulated their plan without ever speaking to a terrorist about it, so how would this meta system have caught them? One of the guys was "of interest" but so what? Millions of people are "of interest". Recognising when that changes to "clear and present danger" is the challenge.

  4. A naive belief in the US justice system is belied by the racial discrimination that still goes on, the massive number of innocent people in prison and the number of bankers walking free.
