  1.  johnmburt1960  It's completely naive to think that alternatives to youtube don't exist because nobody has the skills to make them. ANY replacement would have to work on a creator subscription model, or using advertisers exactly as youtube does. Both of those are FRAUGHT with problems. Pewdipie's 60 million subs would suddenly become a liability not an asset. Running youtube is so expensive that there small countries that have smaller budgets.

  2. My perception of youtube has changed. Many of the douchebags like Alex Jones have been kicked off and the remaining ones are less douchy. Other than that, the only way it has changed is the amount of whining from creators who never had a backup plan and somehow thought that existing at the mercy of a global corporation was a secure existence. Also, eveybody has turned into pussies, and won't say naughty words any more.
