  1. I agree with your general premise here. I disagree with characterising all wealthy people as somehow owing the rest of the country a living. I'd countenance the idea of perhaps SOME tax increases, but not massive. What I would wholeheartedly endorse, is closing all the loopholes that enable them to avoid even paying the same rates of tax as minimum wage bar staff and Walmart employees.

  2. I couldn't agree more Bryant."Disappointment" is the one word that keeps coming to my mind also. He had a public mandate for greatness, but he was a political coward.

I think people could tolerate Obama being ineffective because it was clear that he faced unprecedented obstructionism by the Republicans, but they won't forgive him for overtly betraying on the American people. In a way, it reflects appallingly on Americans, that against the issues of done strikes, foreigns wars, extra-judicial killings, and runaway debt, that the issue that motivates them is their phone records!
