  1. The humane part of me says absolutely not. What kind of people would we be ifwe just stood back and watched a psycho bully kill millions of people. But the prosaic part says that these situations ALWAYS seem to come back and bite us on the ass, because the after-effects are impossible to calculate. I don't think we should abstain because it's difficult, but because we have learned a little humility.

  2. Truly a situation with no winning course of action. If the world does not intervene, 100s of thousands of innocent people die, and if we do, maybe millions do. And meanwhile the axis of evil, run by their leaders Putin, Cameron and Obama edge us towards global conflict. Very depressing.
