  1. Trade unions abused their power when they had it, and held the entire country to ransom. They didn't give the slightest FUCK about the larger population - all they were interested in was getting the best for their members. They literally sealed their own doom with their abuse of power. I'm massively in favour of unions, but they should be about fairness and wellbeing, not selfish blackmail and extortion.
