It's a classic example of unloader bias / hypocrisy. The B29 did a job that a Japanese equivalent no doubt would have done had it existed (Japan like Germany had designed several long range heavy bombers, but lacked the focus nor production capacity), and they likely wouldn't have ruled out Bio-Chemical options, given they'd actually used them against China. The B29, B17 & Lancaster - among many others - did their job of pounding their enemies countries into rubble... but unsurprisingly some get squeamish about that today, unlike those at the time that had witnessed German & Japanese savagery, and basically cheered the fact that the aggressors were getting what they bloody deserved. In other words; don't expect to pull a knife on someone, without the possibility of being mobbed by a group of people with swords 😂 .

The wishy washy moralizing over past events was tiresome, but the RAF aircrew perspectives on the B29 was at least interesting 🤔

We knew the French would want The Bomb, thus it was necessary to beat them to it 😉 . After all: we've only ever fought the Germans and Russians a few times... while having fought over three dozens wars with the French... plus denying them even a podium finish on the A Bomb development race would never not be funny 😁.

moot*, and nope it isn't. Spain hasn't been militarily relevant for over 10 generations, whereas France still keeps trying to be 😆 .

^ One of the most moronic mental abortions of a comment I've seen yet 🙄🥱 . Spain is irrelevant today because of their own economic & foriegn policy incompetence... and the fact that the British won every war of conciquence with them. Spain is nothing today, and they only have themselves to blame.

@matthewmannion4227 Indeed. Crimea is closer to Turkey - which is traditionally not "european" at all - than most of the "european" nations in the region.
