Would be interesting to have a 5MG on the Kriegsmarine's Midget Sub's, such as the Biber , Hecht , Hai & Molch 🤔

@PalleRasmussen True; though some wartime Sub's that get exceptionally long service lives thwart the convention 😉 .

"3 minutes ago" First time for me 😂

@WALTERBROADDUS Oil wise, technically yes, as the RN at least had oil sufficient to fuel all the QE's, and the Revenges' (as built). Would have to be a really special ship though, such as a latewar outfitted KGV or HMS Vanguard 🤔 . (the latter in particular, with her record setting maximum range and accuracy, would be comfortably overmatch for any 1910's era fleet, as well as hard to counter as a fair bit of her hardware didn't exist back then 😆 )

@WALTERBROADDUS The fact that the RN got a reliable enough supply to run their oil fueled Capital Ships throughout WWI disproves your claim of ""is a stretch"". It's well documented that while the RN wasn't willing to share oil with the other allies (which is why the US sent older Battleships to join TGF), they had reliable supply for their own needs. The mid-sea refuelling remark is also redundant, as the RN designed all their Capital Ships with an eye on long distance deployments, and no nation [besides Russia on their doomed round the world voyage in the previous decade] had even attempted [nor needed to] refueling a coal powered fleet at sea. Imperial-Germany & Austro-Hungary by contrast never had a reliable supply of oil, and had generally poorer quality coal.

@Thorbrook I don't think our boyo walter knows what one is to begin with 😆 .

@BastuGubbar He's covered that before in the Drydock 🙂

@WALTERBROADDUS You're retort is complete & utter incoherent nonsense. Even Drach' has pointed out that the UK successfully protected its oil supplies in WWI, and did an even better job in WWII, having "an embarrassingly significant surplus of oil" while the Germans never had enough to meet all demands.

@WALTERBROADDUS Keep coping boyo; reality and documented fact doesn't agree with your directionless and uninformed blatherings.

^ Nonsense repeated is still nonsense. Ding Kindly quit whilst you're behind boyo, as you've been proven wrong multiple times by this point.

^ Yet more gibberish from the resident vacuous reality-denying nonsense-bullhorn. Come back when you actually have a point to make, that has a shred of substance to it and basis in reality. We'll wait.
