  1.  @gabrielrivard3332  Actually that's only partially true. When an egg floats fully it is simply further past freshness than end-on. (though when doing boiled eggs; that is indeed the only practical test option) Though it's highly likely to also be bad inside if floating; the only certain method to check is visual & nasal inspection of the yolk, for any contamination will be visible, or give off a noticable smell. Some eggs can also be bad yet not float; which is why I always crack an egg into a seperate dish to check it, before it goes in the pan / in a recipe. (so one bad egg can't wreck the recipe)

  3. Domestication of Animals & Plants is also almost as hold as terran civilization; so when hippies opine about "getting back to nature" they just show how little [about a great, many, things] they actually know XD.

  4.  @tyree9055  Most enlightening. I find the best approach when cooking at home is "If it looks, smells & tastes okay... then it is okay." (particularly with eggs; where what the yolk looks & smells like is the only way to be certain)
