@panagiotis1519 Amen. After all even sub-par brakes do the job if the driver is used to them and on the ball re' spacial awareness and attention. (speaking as someone who's been in a "got to plan when to stop" braking situation or two over the years; makes me appreciate how well off I am to usually have hydraulic discs presently)

@carpballet Your reply doesn't make much sense, as I made it clear that modern brakes are objectively better, but that a competent driver can get a lot out of older systems, Simply by knowing the car & having their wits about them (unlike the rubberneckers in the clip). And yes; I've been in, worked on & generally been in more than enough cars over the decades to know this first hand.

@speakfreeley4473 True, true 😆👌 . Fortunately it's also more common to have all round hydraulic disk brakes with ABS these days 🤔 (though as I found out when T boned on Christmas Eve 2018, such features only help so much against some idiot in a German hatch going twice the speed limit in fog 😮‍💨 )
