Same. It's a disaster waiting to happen. After all: if regular human error can cause disasters like the mont blanc tunnel inferno, then I really don't want to share a road with vehicles programmed by the lowest bidder π

Not quite. Technology helps, but not in every direction it goes in. Case in point: how plastics manufacturers gradually and entirely deliberately made the products worse and more disposable since the late-1950's, creating arguably the worst pollution and public health crisis in world history to this point. (yes; worse than the more scary sounding lead, cadmium, asbestos & nuclear scandals) That; and Teflons role in making not only most stovetop pots & pans objectively worse, but also gradually poisoning those whom used them and gradually ended up ingesting bits of the pan lining. Getting hold of affordable pots and pan's that aren't lined with toxic compounds is demonstrably harder and more expensive now, than mere decades ago.

Yup. In the 737Max case though it's also that the company behind it has the mother of all toxic work cultures, and has abandoned all pretense at quality control & safety.

Yup. Typical useful idiot of the left.

^ Weirdly logically disconnected sarcasm is weird. Ding It is far easier and less risky for the criminal to sabotage some software, than the physical hardware of a car.

Us Brit's do too... at least as long as no island pinching nor wars with Chile occur π .

βΒ @leonc4653Β Nah. Bliarite Socialism is the root cause of the UK's problems atm. Sincerely, a Brit' who's old enough to remember Thatcher, and has seen the country go to the dogs under the Bliarite Political Consensus of 1997 to Present.

Β @kenyongray2615Β Amen. It's going to take coordinated political pushback to get them removed from the roads, or at least segregated to their own lanes.

Have to hard disagree with Stossel here. This was a bad idea when this video came out, and it's even worse now with DEI hiring at the companies that program such pointless vaporware pish. Seminal sci-fi films like Demolition Man and I Robot also speak volumes about why driverless cars are a daft idea.
