  1. Would make quite a nice Houseboat... Err Ship, if converted. In my country the majority of canal boats are former industrial vessels, now semi-stationary homes and travelling residences.

  2.  @PedroKing19  I'm from the UK 🇬🇧 Though the railways had surpassed most Canals and Rivers for freight by the early 1900's (though some riverine freight still occurs up north), the vast majority of coal and other cargo vessels therefrom saw repurposing as recreation / residential vessels, with many new craft being built since to similar dimensions 🙂 . The UK also has some of the most notable boatlifts and viaducts, though various documentaries here on YouTube (such as by Fred Dibnah & Mark Williams) cover that much better than I can here 🙂 .
