  1. That's what I'm noticing. Poverty by yourself is challenging. Poverty with a half dozen kids just breaks your spirit and perpetuates the cycle.

  2. ​ @lynsylva-bb6ss  To be fair, part of the issue is the child fatality is common so you may birth 8, but only 6 may live. Out of that 6, maybe only 2-3 will be capable of helping you earn a living and can take care of you. (Childless/childfree women in 3rd world countries don't meet the same fate as women without children in 1st world countries.) In the States, if you have 2-3 kids then it's likely all of your children will outlive you, be able to help you as they approach and navigate adulthood, and care for you in your senior years.

  5. The first preventable problem I see here is people are having WAY TOO MANY children. They knew they were impoverished BEFORE having a gaggle of kids, so WHY add more mouths to feed?🤔

  9. 🤨Yes, incarceration is needed, but so are human rights adherences. Nutritious meals, proper space, family visits, lawyers, etc. are basic human rights.🙄
