Another difference I have noticed when comparing the two: While the RuSSian propaganda makes up claims about the West, like looking for a symbolism in sending 88 tanks that it is a demonstration of Nazism in Europe, the western propaganda simply picks up any truth about RuSSia and spreads the word. It is true that the recruits get drunk and fight among themselves in the camps, some not even making it to the front in Ukraine. It is true that they don't have proper body armour. It is true that they are sent to clear the land mines with their own bodies. We don't need to lie about RuSSia and its army failures. Pretty much everything we share is true.

Just to say, that cost how much this war costed RuSSia so far, it doesn't include the future costs for repair of neglected infrastructure and services, the lack of workforce and skills that fled the country and most of them will never come back. And to add nuance to your complaints, that nobody wants RuSSians to leave the country - because the RuSSian govt wants to harm the western world and there are sleeping agents all around, so preventing more coming out (and also hoping that Russians will take action and change the govt, although I don't know whether that is possible at this point). On the other hand, this hypocrisy with Israel has roots in the western interests in the Middle East. It is their enlarged hand there, an ally. For over 100 years there was an effort to keep western influence int he region. And American dollars keep pouring, doesn't matter what. That's not the case with RuSSia. So yes, the actions of Israel are about the same as RuSSians, but their status in the Western world is very very different.

Even that 10 cheapest eggs are under a dollar... just a median salary in RuSSia is just 500 dollars, but the UK one is £2500. I haven't got any response to that yet, three days later LOL.

  56. Coming late to the party. Lived in London, loved it. Moved out, now not liking London as much, only missing the wider opportunities and everything easily accessible via public transport. But the air and crowds are insane there. Not going back, also due to the cost of living there. I would never afford a house there that I have now, in a rural area. And I love it. With a garden and own fruits and veggies. Priceless!

  59. I am sorry about your struggle but in the avalanche of words I got lost somewhere, not sure whether you criticise us or the sanctions system alone. I pretty much believe you understand most of us here wish you well and we have a little power to change how the sanctions see you. I can only guess the purpose of this flat rule for all Russians (I have a different word for those other RuSSians as you see). Could it be to prevent the oligarchs by-passing sanctions targetted at them? Could it be to prevent so called sleeping individuals to enter the west and start making mess? I am sure the officials could look at your case and exempt you, but there are myriads like you who want out. Is it physically possible to make exemptions for everyone and make sure they are genuine? All in all, I understand you feel depressed, but give it time. This won't last forever. Claim asylum or something and wait until you can return home and start living a normal life, or when the sanctions are lifted. You have a great potential, but right now you are trapped. However, your life is not in danger, rockets are not flying around you destroying everything and killing civilians, you are free to talk what you please (Nort Koreans don't have that luxury and even now your fellow countrymen trapped inside RuSSia). Persist, the change will come.
