Why would an average person need to use Tor or make a business with these anonymous and unaccountable businesses, using an unregulated currency they have no legal rights to claim back if something goes wrong? I don't think they are buying groceries, clothes, shoes, legal and safe cosmetics, books or similar everyday needs stuff.

@thatguy1729 I get the drugs thing, but counterfeit? My fakebook wall is full of ads for 'discounted' items due to a family business needing to close with a great regret, or sell outs of mobility scooters for £9.99 via Wilko, or a Macbook for £20 from Amazon... who needs Tor when there is Temu, Shein, Aliexpress?

@JohnDoe-ws4iu I get that, but what are you missing in life if you want to risk it with unregulated substances which can have anything in them? There is a new drug on the market, from China, 50x stronger than Fentanyl, wreaking havoc with people in the US and soon pretty much anywhere. You never know what is in there and you cannot claim warranty or damages. Have a few sips of red wine, if you must to wind down, that also has some health benefits. all I would argue about is cannabis for medicinal purposes, and that is legal in many places already.

Even if drugs were legal, all drugs, you still would need money to buy them. That doesn't make the criminality disappear. Shops have seen a surge of stealing: groceries and cosmetics. The economy isn't great, despite the billionaires have seen profits like never before. Or because of it.
