@HontoNeet Spying isn't the whole story though. They can actively put out of use millions of users, or use their computers for DDOS attacks, or do anything, really.

Finally somebody with common sense. I don't doubt Kaspersky are good, but with HQ in Moscow, I couldn't understand how anyone from outside RuSSia could actually risk it.

@SHERMA. True. The question is: why would Pootin leave Kaspersky alone?

@johnridout6540 Exactly. Chinese hacked some older routers in the US, thousands of them, and almost paralysed some important infrastructure. This is why it matters whether your own or foreigns spy on you. It isn't the same. Many don't understand the difference.
