  1. If you have a balanced diet with little processed foods/drinks, the ratio of fructose to glucose should not really matter for most people. I have a young apple tree in my garden and it provides an abundance of apples. I eat them as they are (minus the core). NO problem. Everyone should do it and there would be no problem. We have become consumers of products, not food as such.

  2. I only drink soft drinks with artificial sweeteners. I drink them overall so rarely that I cannot tell a difference if they changed the sweetener. But I like the lighter taste of coke without sugar or HFCS.
