  1. I consider the second test pointless. These tools aren't supposed to be used this way and they proved their quality with the cutting test. In no world your hand could generate such a brute force to break them like this.

  2. Visually I wouldn't consider the 1970s very sharp. And so they needed the most power to cut the nail in two. Was it $2 in 1970s or now? They were well made though.
