Since you started on the political note: there was the time when a political dialogue was possible, plurality was beneficial and people could be friends across the entire political spectrum. That is no longer possible I'm afraid. Those on the shorter end of the string are literally fighting for life. This is not the time to be apolitical and walk into a disaster with closed eyes while chanting I am tolerant. The right wing is destroying America in front of our eyes, making enemies of friends and vice versa. Democracy is at stake and if you remain indifferent, you are enabling evil. I am not surprised that open source world keeps resisting the the right wing hijacking proprietary world. All those billionnaire bootlickers bowing down to the traitor in chief need a push back. People need to wake up or they might lose their freedoms altogether. The free open source is actually fighting for those freedoms for those who still sleep tight.
