From the hypothermia chart I think you left out one very important one: alcohol induced hypothermia. RuSSians run on alcohol. They don't need to eat. As long as they have vodka, they are happy. And alcohol kills in winter more than anything else in RuSSia.

What I think is happening is that Putin cannot give up. It isn't in his vocabulary. And so the only thing he can do is to keep bombing Ukraine and keep branwashing his citizens that he is on the winning side. As long as he has missiles to send, he will keep doing so. He has nothing else left to do. At the end he might sell some crap that the objective (which constantly keeps changing) has been achieved... even if he lost he will try to sell it to his people as a victory. We just need to keep supporting Ukraine and to give them as much of defence system as we can, so the least amount of missiles reach the target before they run out.
