That material would probably turn into microplastics anyway, even the garden furniture exposed to sunshine and other elements, will shed microplastics. Just this processing is reducing or slowing the process in contrast to all this waste ended up somewhere on open air and gradually eroding or being washed into the sea. Burning it would reduce microplastics, but that comes with a whole range of other issues.

@purrson-here "don't make or use plastics in the first place. " types on a device made of plastics...

@purrson-here the problem is that these cosmetic packages are just a tip of an iceberg. The use of plastics across the world and industries is huuuuge. That includes medical research, you would be surprised how much plastics is used there. And it goes into incinerator most of the time as it is contaminated. But even in other industries, we are too dependent on plastics. And those new polymers developed to replace plastics, it is a double edged sword: if they are to be biodegradable, how to make them use for the length of time we need them so they don't fall apart when we are going to use them? The same goes for cosmetics. And there are many chemicals the new polymers could react with. I simply put nail varnish into a smaller plastic bottle in the cabinet, not the one it came in (I initially had a larger bottle and had a remaining small amount) and the bottle went softer and softer. Glass containers cost more money to transport as they are heavier and often bulkier. So your flat statement to not use plastics was out of reach with reality.

Just cleaned a plate with one wholemeal bagel, cut in half, with full fat cream cheese, rocket and slices of smoked salmon, with a large handful of quartered radishes, for my dinner. I ate those halves as individual sandwiches, feeding also my eyes with larger amount. It was tasty and my stomach is totally happy, satisfied. The joy of eating food and to be satisfied afterwards is natural. Especially if nutritionally dense and balanced, not the junk that was designed to make people never wanting to stop eating. Emotional eating needs a therapy.

Two things, towards the end of the video: 1. Those people who ate less, exercised more and had counselling, but not losing weight: have they recorded every item they put into their mouths to verify they consumed less energy than burned? Many will compensate for increased energy output and forget what and how much they actually ate, significantly under-reporting their calorie intake. It is a known fact. 2. Those who burned less calories after weight loss: were they maintaining their muscle mass by resistance training, or just dieting and perhaps walking? The same amount of muscles is hardly going to decrease energy output. They must have had muscle loss along weight loss. One factor in energy output is fidgeting. Some slim people will naturally shake off any excess calories they consume, unaware of it, while others will reduce their subconscious movements with decreased energy intake, their bodies becoming energy savvy. But that isn't typical for everyone.

Just wondering whether anyone collects the leftover parts of this artillery and recycles them already? There is tons and tons of metal left behind. Plus, if jets and other effective weaponry was delivered to Ukraine sooner, they might have needed less of these shells and the war could have been over.
