I don't think Rishi destroyed the cons, they destroyed themselves by a sheer incompetence for years. A frog has been boiled slowly (the entire nation), Rishi just was the last one to be part of it. The ship is already heading towards the rocks and he can do little to change the course in the strong winds. All he can do is to hold the wheel and shout pretty slogans. That is what he is there for. Integrity, transparency... he broke all that. He only has a mouth full of words and like a broken record keeps repeating his 5 pledges as an answer on any inconvenient question.
