Similar here, diabetes ridden family, while I went from hba1c 34 in 2019 to 29 last year, nearing 50 yo.

No mentioning of vitamin K2, to send that calcium to the bones instead of calcifying our arteries? I am nearing 50 yo and I have picked up resistance training, also to maintain my muscle mass. And having an autoimmune condition I supplement vit D, omega-3 and vit K2, among a few others like ubiquinol or magnesium and vit B complex.
